MCM Kids Run

Claremont participates in the Marine Corps Marathon Kids Run every year as a team and competes for the Healthy School Award given to the top 5 schools with the most registered participants.

The Race happens in October the day before The Marine Corps Marathon.

The MCM Kids Run, located in the Pentagon North Parking Lot, is an out-and-back, secure, kids-only course. It is open to children between the ages of 5-12. Nearly three dozen uniformed Marines are located throughout the run route as well as the Family Link Up tent, start line, and finish line to ensure all children are motivated and safe. Parents are not permitted on the course, but may run alongside their child on the outside of the bike rack along the perimeter of the course. Claremont is assigned a wave start time that ensures all our team run at the same time.

Parents, families and runners are invited to visit Camp Miles, a free all-day activity area featuring interactive challenges and games focusing on health and fitness. Camp Miles activities begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 2:00 p.m.
